I Photographed The Temples Of Angkor Wat, The Largest Religious Monument In The World

Each country brings memories of adventure, love, discovery… In Cambodia is Angkor Wat – truly impressive, a masterpiece of the past. Angkor Wat is the largest religious structure in the world. It took me two full days to visit the nearby temples by bicycle, plus one day with tuk-tuk to the beautiful Banteai Srei.
The temples replicate the spatial universe in miniature. The one I like the most, the Bayon, has 54 Gothic towers decorated with 216 enormous faces. Immerse yourself in the beauty of the Angkor Wat temples through the power of images and inspirational travel quotes. All photos were taken with Sigma DP1 and Sigma DP2, and post-processed in Photoshop Lightroom.

That's the question that went through the mind of Twitter user Reverend Scott, and he's come up with some pretty funny answers. The "emergencies" range from trying to retrieve a ball from under the couch and not being able to eat chocolate on Valentine's Day, to having a panic attack about being left at home. Given that the 911 operator is also a dog, the advice is often far from useful...

Badass cat scares away bear

With his pictures, Japanese photographer Masayuki Oki captures the individual personalities of the many otherwise anonymous stray cats that live in Tokyo's shitamachi area. His collection might be called busayan, which literally means "ugly cat", but the photographer has nothing but affection for his moggie muses.
“I want to travel the country photographing all of Japan’s lovely stray cats,” says the photographer. For now however he limits his setting to the shitamachi area of the capital, where he documents the streetwise cats as they fight, nap, and goof around for the camera. The photographer never reveals the exact location of his feline photoshoot, but if you want to keep up to date with his latest photographic exploits then you can add your name to the 48,000+ people who follow him on Instagram.
